Theres a Connie Payton, but Conner Payton?

Watched the Bulldogs take it to Geneva South Yesterday. It was my first game watching the kid this year. They like to run him to the strong side, He also popped a few good runs between the 3 and 5 holes. He has a bust of speed and come through the line with a bust of speed reminiscent of Matt Suehy from back in the day.

I would like to think he had the finesse of ol' #34 but this kid punishes the defences like Mike Alstott who used to play for the Tampa Bay Bucs, (I was a fan of Mike due to the fact he was from Joliet) Its one thing to put a hit on a kid when your on D but when your the one with the ball your the one pursued. So to watch the kid run and dole out  is something to see.

This is not a bragging post of a typical suburban dad and I nor his mom put pressure on the kid to play. But when hard work is put in its good to see they payoff.

If your watching your kid, Or your nephew or cousin play ball this weekend look at more than the score on the board. The kid's have put in a ton of time to be between the sidelines and in most cases the kids are at practice till 7 at night than have school work to boot. That kind of work ethic can only pay big dividends in the long run.

Hope your team wins this weekend, But if they don't its not the end of the world. Here's to a injury free weekend on the Grid Iron.
